    Hello,

I want to host 5-10 sites. Until now I used reseller account with WHM/cpanel to do it. However more often people says I should use VPS.
What is the real benefit? For the same amount of money (or only a bit more) is a VPS faster? Can I manage accounts on VPS with WHM/cPanel?

hosting sites on a reseller account is easy, quick to get going, and the company does all the setup for you, and admin.

On a vps you have to do all the work, yet you get a larger performance increase.

You can always migrate upto a vps in the future too.

stay on the reseller if you got no problem with it, you dont have to deal with optimization and maintenance of the server.
you can move to vps when you feel u need more control on the server that is hosting your sites.

I have already tried dedicated server some years ago but it is not for me. If managing a VPS account is similar then I really stay with reseller account.

Yes, it will be the same.

Depending on the money you want to spend you could get a managed VPS with cPanel/WHM. This way you will manage it as a reseller account with the benefit of the VPS but this will cost you extra for management service.

Or you could ask some one to set-up the VPS for you.

Or you can find a hosting company that can help you to set-up the VPS based on one time set-up fee and then you will control it via cPanel/WHM
