Say you are going to confirmed an email address from the many links you built.. and you configure your browser with a proxy.. could you still download junk in your computer from randoms clicks like those?


Would the use of proxies prevent unwanted automatic downloads of junk into your system?

BTW proxies provide no protection against your machine getting malware.
