Hi BHW. Hope every one is doing well.

I need some help. I am trying to find as much info about VPS or hosting multiple websites without leaving a footprint. No need for Google to know which sites belong to me.

Where can I turn to find out more?

    Thanks in advance.

Are you wanting to use this for PBNs?

@MisterF I want to find out what I can use it for. Running software, hosting PBNs etc. I am starting out with IM and SEO and I still have a ways to go. Using Google is useless and I only have a limited time at work each day where I have internet access, so I open all the posts and pages that I can on my tablet and then go and study at home, when ever I can.

To try to hide everything on just 1 server means you'll need lots of different IPs ( A,B &Cs ) as a bare minimum.
I host my PBNs away from the same hosting as my sites.

Don't go with seo hosting though, it can be the death of you.

Will do the same. Think that will save me a lot of headaches.

Do you mean normal ranking wise???

Is it possible to run software on a VPN and how will I hide my information on sites like whois?

    Thanks

A VPN will not hide / protect your websites it is meant for computer anonymity by encrypting / tunneling the connections between 2 points. (your computer / your VPS -> the VPN IP).

A VPS is a remote server which can either be Linux or Windows. You can imagine all type of usages including running SEO softwares, or hosting websites. there is an hidden rule here , windows VPS for SEO app, linux VPS for hosting (except if you have websites running ASP.net) Don't try to do both as one would impact the other (Apps impacting the website is bad).

What @MisterF tried to tell you is that SEO hosting can be done poorly and it can kill your network by leaving huge footrprints.
SEO Hosting isn't a VPS, it is a lot of shared hosting accounts spread around servers for you to get many different looking IPs (A B C classes)

A PBN is a blog network and from your first post i'm not sure it is what you meant.

I believe what you are looking for is a safe haven for your money sites so google can't tie them together.

In my humble opinion, i don't think google robot cares much about IP diversity nor how many websites you are running. A manual review form Google do care though. I don't think they map the 1,2 billion websites with their IP.

The most common approach in your case, for small websites / niche websites / beginner websites is to set a VPS (managed or not) with your websites tied to a dedicated IP for each websites with a private who.is (if you aren't representating a business).

Then, you can isolate them if you want getting one shared / VPS per website.

As a starter, find a hosting provider familiar to your cause, and spend more time on your websites rather than overcomplicating hosting ;).

@HostStage I appreciate the feed back.

That and any other sites I have like churn/burn sites that I might hit with tons of links, or even that my competitors shouldn't know which sites I own.

Does proxies do the same thing especially when it comes to software?

Is this basically just giving fake info when hosting a website or is it a service that hosts offer?

    Thanks

I agree with @MisterF. Basically, the best practice is to diversify your hosting for your PBNs. You don't actually need VPN to manage your PBNs.

Use different kind of hostings to host. There are cheap hosting services in here marketplace as well as just googlr $1 - 3$ hostings. Don't go for SEO hosting,

ALso, easy blog network works great. I use them. But they are close for future customers.
