Greetings fellow engineers and architects,

I've been lurking here for months now, and I've finally decided to pop my thread cherry!
I did some searching before posting and found nothing being kept current, so my hope is to inspire a dynamic conversation around this topic.

Here we go! I come to you with questions in regards to the title of this thread.

I'm looking for current VOIP providers available for use with social media platforms, specifically Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. I'll list the ones that I've had success with. I don't plan on mentioning those that don't work anymore, as the majority don't.

So far, for Twitter:
I've been able to use Google Voice for Twitter verification with no problem, but only for one acct.
Over the course of 2017 Twitter has limited users from being able to use the same number on up to 10 accounts, to only being able to use one number per account. Google Voice is the only service that I've had success with on Twitter this last quarter. On second thought, I've been abled to get aged talk-a-tone accounts to work as well. Twitter has a ton of testing going on right now as well as a ton of new flags installed across the board, many of them inappropriately placed as they are affecting the masses.
They've also recently implemented Google reCaptcha into the verification process.

As far as Instagram:
I've been able to use aged Google Voice voice accounts for Instagram verification with no problem, but only for one acct. I've also been able to use aged Talk-a-tone accounts for Instagram too. I haven't needed numbers to verify most of my Instagram accounts.

As far as Facebook and YouTube goes:
I've been able to able to use many providers to add to my personal account, so I don't believe there's much of a conversation to be had around those platforms IMO. However, if anyone has any question of their own, ask away.

From all the research I've done, using VOIP #'s to verify social media accounts it quickly becoming a thing of the past. Using sim cards seems to be in the now and trending.
Lurking here has really opened my eyes to the limited window open in regards to testing and applying really any great product that's released to the public.

Anyways, thank you for your energy in advance! I hope this message finds you all in positive spirits.

i agree with you. using sims is much easier now because I have also seen instances of websites blocking google voice numbers. i use diff sims now and also didlogic. i've used them for years and their prices are low as can be. i have it set up using acrobits on my iphone.

just a suggestion if anyone else is lurking for ways to own another phone number.

the app HUSHED is also good but doesn't always work for SMS verification.

@brooklynbaby You able to explain a bit further how you utilize these two services in conjunction for verification purposes ? I currently just order as many free UK sims as i can get, got 300 so far lol. Id like an easier way of doing it without the need for sim swapping.

I got a little busy and couldn't reply right away but thanks for engaging @brooklynbaby!
Google Voice seems to be the last straw and it's on it's way out.

However, sim cards are very cheap and you can activate pay as you go plans for as little as $10 depending on the carrier. These plans don't need to be topped up in most cases until 3-6 months, so it's a small investment it feels like, but one that's necessary given the nature of the beast!

This is my first time hearing about Didlogic and Acrobits, as well as SIP vs VOIP.
I'd love a bit more insight in regards!

Thanks in advance. I hope this message finds you well!:D

Hi @jeffro89, thanks for engaging. You mind if I ask if you've found more success buying in bulk, or just adding to your collection over time? Also, have you activated these? If so, are you managing a bill either quarterly or biannually?

Cheers and thanks again.
