I was just wondering if anyone could recommend some voice typing software? I'm figuring it might be easier to type all my unique stuff via voice and then just go through it and making sure punctuation / grammer is good before publishing.

Does anyone use this method & can recommend the software you use?

Thanks alot,

biffo

I have used Dragon Naturally Speaking and its great. You have to 'teach' it your specific voice, which takes a an hour or two, but after that its very accurate.

Dragon Naturally Speaking is really nice piece of software, u can use this even for article rewriting.

i second Dragon Naturally Speaking i have been using it for a couple of years sence i speak better than i type

yeah.. Dragon Naturally Speaking, but however I've got problems training it to follow my voice..

are you using the new version that just came out raizoir ? they have really improved the voice recognition on it.

Agree with everyone - Dragon Naturally Speaking.

I use version 9 with SP1.

Haven't updated to 10 yet because I've heard tons of horror stories. Check the reviews at Amazon. Doesn't look ready for prime time yet.

Version 9 is amazing once you have it trained.

1 big tip - make sure you have a mic listed on the hardware compatibility list for Dragon (www.nuance.com). The mic makes all the difference.

I just got a Plantronics USB headset mic listed on the hardware list at Nuance.com and my accuracy rate with Dragon went through the roof. Very helpful!

Thanks alot all, obviously you know what my choice is going to be! haha.

I like the fact its usable too write articles with, will really help me at the moment... now too find a copy the hooky way haha.

Thanks again,
