    Welcome,

Ive been around BHW for a LONG time, and Ive seen this forum completely transform over the past 7 years. Although Im not particularly active these days, I still lurk around. As my business has changed, and I have grown, I decided to give back a bit to the forum once again the way I used to all the time.

I have a marketing agency, and we have worked with everything from the top jewelers, restaurants, and nightclubs in the world. To small local plumbers. In an effort to expand our clientele purchasing SEO services ( and with the release of a really cool tool on BHW) I will be trying to lock in some new clients, by physically mailing or dropping off audits with them.

I will be using macdonjo3's new service which can be found here

    GOAL
    1 new SEO Client

Now many of you may be saying "one client is nothing! thats not a goal!" Well honestly I have learned that the best way to do amazing things, is to break them down into baby steps, and make realistic goals. Im planning on getting MANY more than 1 client this way, but setting my initial goal at 1, allows me to achieve it easily, and use that feeling of accomplishment to fuel further work.

I will also be making a contract with myself (with financial repercussions if goals are not met). It may sound crazy, but it is something that really can force you to accomplish what you set out to do. If you guys are interested more in that, let me know. Im happy to expand on that concept a bit.

    Plan:
Since im relatively busy these days I will break down my plan of attack into groups of 10 local business' at a time. I will identify 10 local business, and put together a package for them included a print out of their SEO audit, a personalized message from myself, and an infographic. I will then mail them out in Fed ex or UPS envelopes. Followed by a follow up email and phone call, and an offer to come discuss the services in person.

Anyone interested should follow along! Happy to answer any questions you might have.

    UPDATE, Day 2:

I have identified 10 local businesses that are ranking between pages 7-11 for search terms that would be quite profitable for them. As a side note, they could all use help with social media, and possible site re-designs. Should be easy upsells if any of them bite on the SEO services.

Next step is to prepare the packages for them over the weekend to be mailed out monday. Once again they include a personal note from me, a 10 page SEO audit that includes comparing them to competitors, and an infographic page about the benefits of SEO.

If I cant lock one client in from the 10 businesses (which is quite possible) I will be going on the another group of 10. Again, I want everyone to know, im just breaking this down into small and achievable goals, so that I can accomplish them easily. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

    UPDATE:

I have ordered a custom infographic. It is relevant to the industry of the local businesses I am targeting, and as I said before It will be part of the package I am putting together for each business. I have dedicated a good part of my day today, to identifying 2-3 successful competitors of each business to put in the reports for comparison.

I want to be creating a need for these businesses. Showing them the problems with their SEO, and then showing their competitors doing well, should create the need for SEO in the business owners mind. I will also be creating a sense of urgency by offering a deal if they decide to sign up in a specified time frame.

Any and all questions are welcome :)
