Hey. I've got a bizare charge on my visa and I have no idea where it came from.

For awhile I was doing some MLM type stuff and ended up submitting my creditcard number to a variety of places. Im concerned that im getting scammed by one of them.

Do you guys have any ideas or suggestions for tracking where the charge came from?

Call your bank and ask them for the merchant name who charged the account, and ask for the phone number.

You probably are getting scammed by one of them. Doubtful your bank is going to be of any real help.

I've changed both my card and my account and still getting charged by some company in Mexico. Bank claims they don't know what is going on. For safety they stopped my card without notifying me so I can't use card but apparently whoever in Mexico can still charge to the card.

I got fed up with my bank making excuses and simply withdrew all my funds from them and went to a local bank for banking.

Don't count on the bank doing any investigation. They prefer to simply pay the disputes and go on. In fact I was shocked recently when I disputed one fraudulent charge for $286 and the bank was happy when the merchant offered them $180 and they made up the rest.

No wonder our bank system is in such trouble and needs bailout money.
