Scrapebox is taking over my computer in slow poster. Can I get around this by logging on as a different user?

What if I install Virtual Box? My Scrapebox is legit but, I have some cracked stuff. Could I put my good and cracked stuff on a VM and have my desktop applications available for me to use?

Will a VM share my internet connection. If not then the whole idea is worthless.

Another question. Will Scrapebox work with Ubuntu?
It works with XP just fine but, I am getting ready for an upgrade here. And I may get rid of MS operating systems but, only if my tools (Scrapebox, etc.)will work with them.

    Thanks for your consideration

No you can't use another user to escape from the slowness. Another user will work the same or even worse.

No, it works only on Windows.

I run SB in a Oracle VM Virtual box and it works just fine. Yes it will allow you access to your network it just needs to be set up correctly. I did it to avoid the anoying behaviour of the slow poster which prevents your machine from being used for anything else. You can just use minimise and carry on working. You will need enough memory though I like to allocated IGB per VB although you can get away with 640K or so.

Perfect, that was what I was hoping to hear.

Did I get the following right?

You run Oracle in VM. So Oracle will run Scrapebox?
How about Ubuntu? Will it run Scrapebox?

Thanks for taking the time to help me out with my problem.

You will need another licence to install it into Virtual machine. Why not try out how it goes with logging to diff account.

Take some what you got succesfull with slowposter and then start it and log on to other user and after a while come see if theres any succesfull

On Ubuntu; use "Wine" software because it will run scrapebox or any other WINDOWS Based application as well.

What I think is that you use scrapebox on your actual desktop (not Virtual Box) because your Virtual Box is still sharing resources from your actual desktop/Computer/Laptop means your Virtual Box is no doubt, low speed then your actual desktop because Virtual Box can't use 100% resources of your actual machine.

Though for cracked stuff, it is recommended to use virtual box.

    I hope it makes sense.

SB will not run in Ubuntu it's a windows application. If you can find an emmulator it might.

I've not noticed any speed difference to be honest maybe a little but not enough to make any real difference.

I set up XP in Virtual Box. So I have a XP machine that hosts a VM running XP. I have a permisscuous copy so there was no problem with validation.

How do I install Scrapebox onto the VM? Is there a way to share files with it? I went to the Virtual Box forum and those folks are way beyond my capabilities. They also didn't have a place for newbies to ask questions in their forum. Internet searches turned up nothing, or maybe they did and I just didn't know what I was looking at. The manual told me to move my Scrapebox folder into the shared folder but, it doesn't show up in the VM.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Will the firewall and anti-virus from my machine protect my VM?
