Hey guys, I'm gonna tell you a little different scam story that has affected the lives of me, a co-worker, and many others where I am from. It all started this summer when I was low on cash and needed a job, I put out an application for an SEO position out there and got a response back from a company called Virtro for a PPC position.
So I get a phone call from a guy named Ivan Kerr and were talkin and I'm feeling good about the job and the guy offers me a stinkin $210 a month to handle his PPC campaigns ($10 per campaign). So I tried it out for a week and the work I did was worth a hell of a lot more that $210 a month so I call him back and renegotiate to get paid $400 a week, a hell of a raise.
One day I get a phone call from him and he's desperate, he starts going on about how he's running out of money and that he's got another business that's funding Virtro and it won't get any money until about 6 or 7 weeks until then. You can start to see where this is going, hind sight is 20/20 guys.
You can bet when it came time to collect the money he owed me, he had a sudden memory loss. In fact, up till that point he was a nice guy who took me out to lunch of several occasions, but when I asked for the money he owed me ($4,000 at this point) he started saying things like "you were a horrible worker" and "I would've fired you a long time ago".
The worst thing is, that he did this to ANOTHER employee who was working there at the same time. Needless to say, were trying to get our backpay together.
But the worst thing is guys, HE DOESN'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THE INTERNET. This guy is trying to get an internet marketing company up and running, and he doesn't have a clue what to do! He lies to customers, takes 50% of their investments, and gives them a shitty PPC campaign with about 5 keywords in it.
Customers should know about how bad they are getting ripped off by this guy. Take a look at this guy's website
