Videos and Articles for SEO

I have some videos posted on youtube as well as some articles in the different article directories.

The youtube video displays my website name at the beginning of the videos and the article have my main keyword.

I am using these methods to rank higher in my local business for my profession, I have uploaded the youtube link to the different videos for the local business in google.

So do I need to also place the same videos and articles on my website as well for better ranking when searching for my local business keyword...
