Can anyone help me? There's something strange going on with my YouTube channel. I upload entertaining content and attract millions of views, but I've noticed something peculiar – the RPM is very low. Additionally, I've observed that viewers are subscribing to the channel, and the number of subscriptions is increasing significantly. However, I've also noticed that the videos don't generate much engagement, whether it's likes or dislikes. It's as if they're just passively watching like zombies and subscribing to the channel.

For your information, these are full-length videos, not shorts, and the majority of my visits come from suggested videos.

Has anyone facing a similar issue?

What is the country metrics?
 
It depends on the nature of content. In some niches, it will be less likes even after views.
 
I believe the issue lies with the suggested videos system because the videos suggested are similar in style to those on my channel.
 
There's definitely a bug causing this issue.

What steps should I take to resolve it?

The problem persists across all videos.

Initially, the RPM stands at 1.2$ for the first day or two.

However, when videos gain traction and receive numerous views, the RPM drastically drops to 0.02 or 0.03
 
I recognized the problem, but I also want to explore other solutions. I've found that most of my earnings come from YouTube Premium and significant views. Should I maintain the status quo, or will my videos find another source of revenue beyond just YouTube Premium?

YT wants the eyes on view your videos brings but doesnt wanna pay

we cannot know for a fact if this is a bug unless we know the niche. some niches are very low paying and have low engagement.

I have the same problem, and I couldn't solve it no matter what I did, I did a lot of research but unfortunately I couldn't find a solution, I wonder if you solved this problem, I would be happy if you write

this is something that youtube does, when your channel gets monetized and when it gets high views they drop the rpm down, we have experienced the same on multiple of our channels, however we would suggest that you continue this for a month or two and see if there is a any difference, because we were consistent with the uploads and we got our rpm back to its standard rate.

btw some factors for rpm dropping can also be the following-

- kids content (made for kids)
- content that is not suitable for most advertisers, prolly because there is a lot of violence, abuse words etc, in that case youtube classifies your videos into the "limited ads" category, however that will showup in your youtube studio.

about the likes, we just have a doubt, check your analytics and see how much percentage of views is coming from "external views".

If your niche is child content in a poor country thats normal other reasons could be that your video is getting views from embeds
