Video Watermarking.

Hi All,

I was just reading about "downloading video from youtube, adding a watermark to it with a link to your site" then re-uploading to youtube.

1. What software do you use to watermark videos with.
2. Does google find these links inside the videos and give the target site a booooster?

1 i use vegas 9 for video editing(watermarking) plus u can dl it 4 free, but u can use windows movie maker its just a bit harder to work with
2 Highly doubt it...

Hi Supernerd - this was a tip given by someone here to a member and I kind of got the impression that point 2 above was the whole point of doing this excersize.

What would the point be in doing this if theres no link juice?

Seems like quite a bit of fiddling round if theres no benefit - or is there some other benefit?

The idea is to get type-in traffic from the url you put on the video. No youtube can't read whats on the video. Your video might get flagged by viewers though.


As for PR, well, you could spam your keywords in the description and link your profile to your website, however I think its all no follow anyhow.

There are plenty of free editors available in the web, Just get in to downloads.net and get the freeware.

It's one of the best way to get traffic

I use video watermark factory. It's pretty straightforward. Watermarking also gives you a bit of protection against your video being ripped off.

You can easily watermark over a watermark

That's another good use for the software. I've used it to watermark a watermark. However it's not as clean as watermarking a unmarked vid. Sometimes I can get away with cropping the W/M and then adding mine.

Is there a software program that can remove the watermark or text that is at the start of the video
