    Hi,
I'm starting a video site and it will have tv shows from megavideo and zshare and I am wondering if I will have any issue with my hosting. I like hostgator, but I've only used it for WH in the past so I would like input. If hostgator is bad for this, what hosting do you recommend?

    Thanks

I don't think you should have any problems because you're only linking to said videos, right? Thus, you're not using the resources greatly. I would, although, keep away from Hostgator. Try Justhost or Thishost.

I'm pretty certain that it is against HostGator ToS to even post links to copyrighted material. Really, the risk factor involved is that an interested party finds the embed or link through your site and DMCA's both your host and the file host. This is common practice now. HostGator deals with DMCA's pretty reasonably, but if they come to the site and see a large number of embedded videos, it is certainly possible that you'd lose your account. And if your site receives multiple DMCA's, they'll definitely close your account.

Absolutely what I wanted to say. But there aren't many people who would want to damage your....erm....site because of that. Unless DMCA agents or your enemy..lol directly come to your site and blow things up, I think you should be OK.
