wow.. some news really bring you back to life: 18-year-old Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, mom Sarah McKinley shot and killed an intruder when two men tried to break into her home on New Year?s Eve (2 videos below).

McKinley tells news people that she was home alone with her 3-month-old baby when she heard the intruders.

McKinley picked up a 12-guage shotgun and a pistol, called 911 and said: "I?ve got two guns in my hand. is it okay to shoot him if he comes in this door? I?m here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately??

The 911 operator told her that if her doors were locked, she could use deadly force: ?I can?t tell you that you can do that, but you do what you have to do to protect your baby."

McKinley used the one of the guns to kill Justin Martin after he kicked in the door. A second man, Dustin Stewart, later turned himself in to police.

Good on her. In my books if someone breaks into your house they lose basic human rights. If someone broke in (especially with my family there) I would use deadly force if needed and I wouldn't feel bad. Evens out the gene pool.

That is correct. He died on (or around) Christmas due to cancer. The guy who tried to break in came by the house earlier during visitation and said that he lived down the street and wanted to show his support. He later came back with the second guy.

Guys... teach year ladies how to use the gun.

this is what psychologists mean when they say: "release your emotions, don't keep them inside"...

From what I heard, the guys that were coming to break in were coming to take (by force) the deceased husbands pain medication that he was on for the cancer. Sad.

I would have done the same thing. It's completely legal where I live. When I was still with my child's father, he never locked the doors. Where we lived, no one was stupid enough to ever break in to someone's home. They knew they'd be met with a double barrel between the eyes, no matter what house they'd try in our area. One of the benefits of living in the country. :cowboy:
