pure rubish... you have to be to stupid to believe this shit
He said at 2:10
"If you are a black hat, you'll have to adapt and evolve"
he said nothing new and to be honest - he actually didn't say anything. His advises are worthless.
I agree, nothing new.
Lots of talking but nothing being said, in fact if you look at his face closely he is fighting off the urge to laugh hysterically in response to the question.
The advice has always been the same, put out great content and your customers will magically find you.
And he also has a bridge to sell you for a great price if you want it.
Last time i talk to matt cutts 2 month ago he tell me that time I dont need to do seo to get on top of Google. But after 1 month waiting my website not ranked in Google So FUCK YOU MATT CUTT (Google bitch)
Type this into Google translate and check the 'bull-shit detection' box:
"Google is going to keep trying to work on making better and better search results"
"Google is going to keep trying to work on making more and more cash money"
ignore. ignore. ignore.
Actually Matt has a VERY good point.
SEO is only a small cog in the wider internet marketing machine.
For a lot of people, its the ONLY cog in their internet marketing machine.
It seems many have forgotten about the marketing part of internet marketing.
Doing what Matt Cutts says is like going into a soccer game and doing what the other team says.
"Shoot your own goal!!!"
And then you get a shit load of blogs discussing "how would you guys best shoot at your own goal???". That is how silly this SEO business has become....those SEO blogs are 100% pure genius because they manage to sell shit for thousands of dollars.
They simply want making more money from their adword publishers... They are liars..
I see what you mean, but that's not exactly news. He should have pointed out that Google is a small cog in the SEARCH ENGINE world, so take a look around and enjoy the competition. He's just trying to push Google + yet again by mentioning social marketing.
Great comment. Also as we chatted on another topic, social signals have a TON of new value now.... I have that experiment you commented on, where my links were all thrown out and still it ranked, based on the other signals alone: age, never had a penalty, reputation, and social signals....
So basically the Google+ team has said "Matt Cutts we need your help here" and Cutts is gearing all of search to social...which is really hurting him and Google because the signals off Google+ are so skewed and so few.....
It's an interesting context to watch for, we're seeing major changes ni search. Google looks more and more like Overture, for all practical purposes Amazon.com, Ebay and TripAdvisor have basically bought their way into 60% of SERPs by investing heavily in marketing....those are definitely not organic results, they're major league commercial.
There's only one way now. I must hire him to develop a "fantastic" authority website for me.
Reading through this thread suggests it is news to a lot of people.
Social marketing doesn't neccessarily mean Google+ either. If your in the tech/IM world it means twitter/google+, if your in arts/crafts it means pinterest/facebook etc etc
Actually he said more things in favor of BH SEO in this vid than he did previously.
indeed... his advises are worthless.
Matt is a funny guy... to that I would say "Mat, Cut the crap. We will stop starring at your boobs when you stop flashing them around".
And on a more serious note. Matt, really? and what would you rather we focus on? using more of your search engine so you can better "understand" us?
Ha...crank up your toolz people
As many before me have said take everything Matt Cutts says with a grain of salt, it's his job to spread fear & propaganda... I must say though he does a great job.
I was just looking at a keyword for a health product
But No organic results above the fold
Obviously they weren't happy that i used a keyword with no money
so instead of letting me see the results, they sending me to a page with ads
If SEO is dead then google is killing the internet
