Video Creation Software

    What is the best software for creating YouTube style videos - without a video camera. I know Camtasia is good for capturing on your Desktop, but I am looking for something that also does transitions and effects, like this YouTube video:

    Check some of my older download threads. There are at least two I know of. One is By Cyberlink and the other one is by Nero. Avoid the Blufftitler software though. It was recently discovered that there was a virus in it. And ALWAYS be sure to check for viruses on ANYTHING you download.

    I have found Vegas pro 8.0, and I will tell you right now, it's something I needed. I love the videos im making right now, I just got it so I am learning as I go... Lots of help on youtube for people who want to learn how to use it as well.

    There are many free programs. If you have Windows XP or Vista check out Windows Movie Maker. Its free (obviously), its simple, and it does transitions like youre wanting to do.

    Also, it outputs WMV files, which have awesome compression ratios, and work perfect for You Tube uploads. But yeah, check out the member downloads section and do a quick search, youll find some good stuff.
