Video clip from full video?

I was wondering if anyone knows a software that can take a full video, like a 30 min video and take short clips from it, like 3 or 4, and make a new video using these short clips, so I can quickly make "sample" type videos?

You can go with "Kate's Video Cutter"!
It's freeware. I use it also...

Try Sony Vegas , and you are able to do this kind of things easily.

You can stick with Windows Movie Maker installed with Windows if you do not want to download a program.

Second that...cut, splice, do all sorts of simple tricks, windows movie maker is really simple to use, can add music, watermark for entire vid...play around with a few test runs to get the hang of using the interface.
