    Billy Mays gets credit for being the king of pitchmen, but a lot of people who watched cable in the early morning during the 1990s feel it was Don West, who sold baseball cards on home shopping cable shows.


    You should be writing sales copy how this guy talks! Note how simple and straightforward his sales pitch is. And note how often he states a call to action (call now, call now, call now).

    This is funny to educated people, but the people who buy our products (a bit gullible) bite on this kind of bait.
