Well it's been a rough couple days.

While visiting with my mother, I've witnessed something terrible, something I never thought I would see; the eyes of a dog determined to rip out another's throat, and the sound of a my mom's dog Zues crying out for it to stop.

A few days ago, I was sitting at this computer, working away as I normally do, when I heard growling, barking and crying as the vicious dog lunged and sank it's teeth into Zues's leg and wouldn't let get as it thrashed. My mother cried out for help; I was already on my way.

The psychotic dog had escaped its holding pen after charging the door, knocking over the elderly woman and made a beeline straight for the dog it's known to hate.

As soon as I saw what was happening, the adreniline started to flow, I flipped a switch and it was as if I was being controlled under another force and I acted immediately. If any of you whom have been in a fight can surely understand this feeling.

I reached for the neck and was quickly bitten, sliced my hand in 5 places but that did not deter me, I needed to separate the animals; I was successful.

$800 in vet bills later, this is what's left: A sad, shaved and stiched german shepard.

Way to save your dog man. I had the same thing happen. Stuck my hand right in the middle of a dog fight and got it shredded. Had to do it though. My dog was small and getting it's ass kicked.

I had a Canadian Timberwolf and Siberian Husky as my dogs before god help any animal who would try start shit with the wolf :)
Government took Wolf off me as it was illegal at the time its now in a wolf sanctuary but loved them both :)
I never needed to jump in with them lol
But ill tell you this the wolf can eat bones and crunch them in one bite and swallow unlike normal dogs who could chew a bone for weeks a wolf would have it gone in minutes :p

    Well done :)

A full David Beckham kick to the balls will stop most (male) dogs in their tracks... at least momentarily.

If you get bit on the hand... use your other hand to stick your finger as far as possible into the dog's eyeball. Brutal as hell... but it's really all ya got.

I have a pit and have seen some gnarly shit go down with other peoples dogs.
If it's your dog getting attacked, you really gotta step in... just be careful because in those situations you own dog can sometimes endup biting you.

Sorry that happened to ya man.

It was put back into it's holding cell, and reprimanded. It's lucky that my mother got a hold of his collar first, otherwise, under the circumstances, I could have severely injured it with my boot.

When something or someone you love is in trouble, you don't hesitate. No matter the cost or threat to your own personal safety.

Well, after watching that fight the other day, I can only imagine what it's like in the wild when a wolf fights another wolf, only one should be left standing.

For sure :) But when you bring one up from young they class you as parents of there pack, and wolves stick together more loyal than a dog i guess :) <3 german shephards too :)

That's what makes dogs/wolves great, their loyalty. We used to have a husky when I was a teenager, they are beautiful animals.

I originally got the siberian husky as it was closest to pure canadian timberwolf i could find, there is only a few canadian timberwolves that where in the UK at the time some where in zoos and such, so was hard for me to find someone to breed with.
So hence the siberian husky :D
Both great animals, those and i had a german shephard before great animals, but bringing up a naughty wolf was a challenge especially the power they have, try telling it its bad, believe me you need to be tough :)

The authority was there it was a female, and i learnt to bite its ear when it was young as this (although sounds strange) shows it whos in control.
After it learns it will never consider after that unless you get real soft.

thats sad - and surprising. German Shepards have the strongest bite, and are generally badasses. German Shepards, Chows, and Golden Retreivers are surprisingly the three dogs that bite the most and have the strongest jaws....to be followed by a Rottweiler.

Someone must have seen me walking her or similar lol, but again it was before i had a daughter so i know its one for the best, and she will be well looked after and coming into contact with other wolves. So like everything usually in the end things always work out for the better.

But glad your dog is fine, but you should definitly try to handle your dog more than ever with these upcoming weeks ahead, and walk it, and get it back into the things it used to do before it becomes a phobia, and when animals have phobias is when they most get stressed become sick and end up being biters. So its best for you as much as your dog seems and is tame now, phobias can strike when things like this happen.
And this is when they bite, i believe once a dog bites it will stick to that rule, as they dont know real english LOL, once they bite a humans reaction is to go away from the animal, once they learn even once that when you do something it doesnt like , it bites you, then you go away, it will pick this up as a way of telling you to fuck off when it wants, and is very hard to change that.

So touch your poor little dog as much as possible even on the injuries, i had a family cat years back in my parents home that was in an accident and wouldnt let you stroke its back because that was where we avoided after it had an accident and it ended up staying non touchable for life.

:) Hope your family member gets better, and screw that other dog.

Oh man, sorry to hear that happened to you. It's sad looking at those pictures..is he able to walk? You should shoot the other dog and kick his ball hard.

Same thing happened to me before, a dog attacked me and I fought back. You'll lose your sense and start defending and attacking the dog and take it as life threatening situation. Lucky for me the dog had a brain, looking at me attacking and kicking him madly, he ran off and I chased him all the way..i was pissed off by something stupid happened to me earlier on and this stupid dog attacked me...damn!

Hope you and your dog recovers well and soon..
