I have a very odd problem. I have done SEO on my website. I have improved my onsite SEO grade to over 85% and it is considered very good. I have submitted my website to several search engines. My site is not penalized from what I know. The problem is when someone types in my target keyword in google, my website does not show on any page at all. What could be the reason for this? This has been going on for two months now.

How competitive are the keywords? Did you do anything offpage SEO?

Just because your site is indexed, doesn't mean that it will show up in the rankings for your target keyword

if you target high competitive keyword then 2 months is very short time for getting keyword rank so it is better to put more effort and wait for time.

The site is not good enough, competition is too high, lack of content and so on. And regarding onsite SEO. What tool have you used to determine that your onsite is 85% spot on? :) Because I am pretty sure this is the main problem here.

It was on SEOSITECHECKER that showed a very good report. And I do understand that a high competitive keyword can take time to react but to not show on ANY page?? Even the last page? There has to be something wrong. I checked to see if my site was penalized and it was not so I am really stumped.

It definitely takes time when you have high competitions. Keep doing Quality Back links from Quality blogs and try some Keyword analysis. Based on that you can build links..

What kind of "SEO" did you do to optimize your site for that particular keyword?

Do you have a specific page/content that targets that keyword? Have you built any decent backlinks to that page or your home page? Have you used the keyword as anchor text when building backlinks?

2 months is a quite long time and you should show up at least somewhere in the SERPs, if the above was done right.
