This may sound like a stupid question for someone who knows the answer (which I obviously do not), but what does "CDN" mean when checking the pagerank of blogs?

I've only started to have this issue within the last few days. Usually it would either give me the rank or just say N/A... i've never seen CDN before.

    Thanks BHW....

CDN typically means content distribution network. An example would be something like s3/cloudfront. usually if you want to host data such as images or css files you create a files.domain.com subdomain and point it to a CDN and they handle all the heavy lifting. one of the sites you were checking pagerank on might be pointing towards a cdn ... or it could mean something completely different :p i haven't ever received that error in scrapebox personally

Hmm.... thanks Dubbletoke. I kind of thought it was referring to 'content distribution network' also, but didn't understand how that related to pagerank... *puzzled*

I might of possibly answered my own question. It appears this might be the result of a 'bad proxy'. Looks like every one of these that popped up said bad proxy next to it.

So if anyone else has this problem, and didn't know the answer... there ya go! =)

Yea, You thought it right! It refers to Content Distribution Network short called by CoDeeN or CDN. You'll See CDN Status if you use CoDeeN Proxies. So what is it?

Well, CoDeeN is a Content Distribution Network (CoDeeN) built by a group at the princeton university. It is a network of proxy servers, to deliver content to CoDeeN users. You see that alot of proxy hunters remove CoDeeN proxy servers from their lists. This is because all the connections to CoDeeN proxy servers are logged, which helps to identify abusers of the system. Usually, people who use proxy servers, use them because they don't want to be logged, and want to stay anonymous. Some CoDeeN proxy servers also have limitations like not supporting downloading of files, visiting protected websites (SSL), and others, which are only available to CoDeeN users.
Also, the user have to enter the verifications numbers from an image after using the proxy for some time, which prevents the use of the network by applications.
