Wanted to post on here and see if anyone has ever heard of this. I've got a friend who manages social media accounts for bands. He has been managing social media for this artist. The artist's FB page is verified and it's not new... been active & verified for a few years. The artist had added a few people as page Admins. One of the Admins then took his Facebook Business account, sent a "claim" request to the artist page, and then approved the claim himself because he was an Admin.

When the artist found out he took "ownership" of the page, he removed this guy's personal profile as Admin but could not take his business ownership off. The guy was able to use his business account that now "owned" the artist page to go back in and add himself as an Admin again. Now he removed the artist, the manager and all other users as Admins. The guy is now spamming his page with viral posts and random bullshit. Any possibility that he can recover this through contacting Facebook with a form or something? This is pretty bizarre, I can't believe there is no "kill switch" or some reset option to have the personal account of the artist reclaim ownership of the page he created.

Once you are removes from a page you'll get an email stating that you have been removed as an admin. Inside that email there is a link which you can click on and claim your page back.

Another way is to send your Government id and a pic of your self holding a sheet of paper (with your details) in your hands . Search on google for that link.

The person who stole the page, what was his admin role?

Thanks for the info, the guy said he filled out the "hacked account" form through that email link so he's waiting to see if they give him the page back.

Ok, this is the weird thing. He *was* an Admin. He had since been removed like 3-4 months ago but could still access the page because he claimed ownership of it through Facebook Business Manager and there was no possible way to remove him.

its a big fault just adding people like that as admins, that means he own the page 100% , your only hope is contacting Facebook

one thing he can do is try to scam the business account and then try to contact facebook for the page.if there is no admin of a page then there's more probability to get back the page by appealing

Just sent through something similar: Facebook rep had my client sign an Affidavit and attach documents: copy of drivers licenese, copy of busines license, and we even through in a copy of the health departments latest inspection (this was a restaurant).
