They said I broke the terms and agreements, I read over the terms and can't see one that i broke and i had roughly $500 in my account they said there was an issue processing that payment even thought that payment has been in my account for about a week. They closed my account and took my money,

Anyone experience something similar before and is there a way to get my money back???

They are worse than paypal atlas paypal would give you your shit back in 180 days this venmo company owned by paypal just takes and who knows what they do with it.

Didn't really earn it, I had a ex business partner go psycho on me long story short and got a hold of my iPhone threw it and smashed it, I had to take him to small claims court and we worked out the solution he'd reimburse me since I won the case in small claims court. He said he'd pay men through venmo, I said okay i already used venmo and it seemed like an easier way and i didn't want to meet with this psycho.

So on the invoice i out "iPhone 6s 128gb Unlocked Phone"

After my account was limited i emailed them explaining this is a civil court case ruling and he owed me that money.

He probably tried to screw you and cancelled the payment after it was in your account. I would press on to get his money.

    "
    g. Risk of Reversals, Chargebacks and Claims

When you receive a payment, you are liable to Company for the full amount of the payment plus any fees if the payment is later invalidated for any reason. This means that, in addition to any other liability, you will be responsible for the amount of the payment, plus applicable fees if you lose a claim or a chargeback, or if there is a reversal of the payment. If a sender of a payment later disputes the payment or files a claim for a chargeback, the debit or credit card issuer or the originating bank, not Company, will determine whether the dispute is valid and to whom payment is due. You agree to allow Company to recover any amounts due to Company by debiting your balance. If there are insufficient funds in your balance to cover your liability, you agree to reimburse Company through other means. If Company is unable to recover the funds from your primary funding source, Company may attempt to contact you, Company may recover the funds from your alternate funding sources, or may take other legal actions to collect the amount due, to the extent allowed by applicable law."

Bring him to court again and claim his cancelled payments have caused you considerable expense and distress and lost earnings.
Then sue him for the highest amount you can in the small claims court.. plus he will have to pay the $500
    he took back.

As this is a new case You can continue to sue him till it gets big enough to really go after him.

Usually this happens when people pay with false credit card data or reverse the payment. I am pretty sure this was the case here. They haven't stole you any money, the simply didn't got any from your friend.

this is why in 99.999999999% of court cases settlement money is always specified to be in terms of a cashier's check
