    Hello mates,

My vendor has an opt-in form in his sale page. I send the visitors directly to his page via my youtube video and this way bring sales every now and then.
The vendor now comes up with another hoplink that directs the visors to his sale page without the opt-in form too.
Which one can bring me more sales in your opinion please (the opt-in page or the page without it?)? Do you have any experience in this regard?

It seems that the vendor does not steal the affiliate commissions via his op-in option...

    Thank you.

Normally , you should get more sales without the opt-in page as people do not like to provide their email address. But I recently have an experience with a product that got me shocked. Once the collect the mail, they will inbox another 8 times with your affiliate link.

Making more sales on the long run in this particular case as they are doing "the email marketing for you".

Many vendors should do the same. I personally stay away from products pretending to capture mails and not making the affiliate earn money

The vendor will send emails with your link BUT they will also send other emails for other products without your link.

So far it looks like 90% of my sales come from people that buy the product the first time they get there. Not many are responding to the emails, plus the vendor sends emails to other products without my link.

When choosing hoplink keep in mind that you cannot use pop-ups for most ppc networks (including bing); so if you are using ppc you should use the hoplink that directs to the page without the pop-up.

    Thank you.
But the opt-in I am talking about doesn't force the visitors to give away their email,

    Interesting experience!

That's true, and some vendors even send emails to the product you are promoting with their own hoplinks!!

    Thank Mancar,

No I am not using PPC, and the page doesn't have a pop-up, just a small box in the page as the opt-in box.

If you are sending the visitors using a YT video then the non optin version will be better.

This post intrigues me, as I am working as a vendor right now. On my sales page, I have an opt-in form (pop up) that offers a promotional introduction to my product to convert the "freebie seekers" into sales. The list they are sent to is only made to promote my one product with a direct link to the sales page. What this does is help my affiliates get sales they may have lost otherwise through the cookie my affiliates set. I think using my own affiliate link within my autoresponders for the list is really stupid, as smart affiliates will opt-in to said list and see what I am doing.

If I can make my affiliates money, then I will make money.

But to answer your question, opt-in to your vendors list. If he is using his own affiliate link and/or promoting other products that will shave your earnings with the traffic that YOU worked for, I wouldn't even sell his product anymore. But that wouldn't be a great idea since you are receving traffic now. Just go with the page without an opt-in popup if that is the case!

    OP, Its my suggestion:-
Build your own optin page send the visitors to your optin page and redirect them to vendors page without optin
You can use this list for email marketing further..
