    Hi fellows...

I just got a question please,

As an affiliate I am promoting a clickbank product via youtube. I have used tinyurl to cloak my affiliate link. so is there any way/method to ask my vendor to give me a link or something like that to use it instead of tinyurl? I know that I can buy a domain and use redirection but because the video sells very well so if there is any way related to my vendor I am sure that he will accept it. So is there any way the vendor could be helpful in this regard instead of buying a domain please?

    Thanks for any input...

are you asking for something like this:

    h**p://yourvendor[dot]com/your-aff-link/

if so, then you should directly contact your vendor.

but i think you'd better ask for opinion from some respected CB vendors in this forum, like johnhunter, mikeisright, or mancar487

    Hi Epilot,

Hmm, may I ask the reason why you feel a link from the vendor's domain would be better than buying a domain? Is it a cost issue, reputation of the link, etc...?

Instead of depending on the vendor to redirect your links
and put all your trust on the stability of his/her servers, buy a domain name
today for pennies. It would become worthwhile for more than one reason.

You can never know the stability state of the vendor's servers.

You are also losing subscribers and conversions by directing your traffic to the vendor's page instead of to your own presell-opt-in page.

Well, generally this is not done for two main reasons. The vendors dislike doing it because it may harm their site and reputation if the affiliate is using unethical/spammy methods of promotion. Most affiliate generally would also avoid it, as the standard method of promotion is to send to a presell page and capture leads before sending them to the vendor's. Moreover, a .com can be bought for literally $0.99

That being said, if you are bringing in a good volume of sales, it wouldn't hurt to contact the vendor if you wish to get such a link. For example, our team will always go out of their way to assist affiliates, and something like this may be arranged (on a case-by-case basis).
