If you're in the top ten there's no way your using adsense to make money.
    I can't even guess. If you're #1 you're getting about 10,000 visitors a day. #10 probably not even 2,000. Maybe not even 1,000, maybe not even 500.
Free credit report is not a search that you have to dig deep to find what you need. In most instances the searcher will probably make their click in the top 3 rankings.

I had a site ranking #6 for a 650k exact keyword, and it was getting under 500 (if I recall correctly). The reason being it's a keyword that most people find what they need after the first few rankings, if not the first.

So to answer your question based on adsense. I would do this rough math.
Based on being #1. 21,000 daily searches, #1 say you get 50% of seaches, say 10,000 because I'm doing it quick. 2% clickthru = 200 clicks per day * say $5 = $1,000 per day. Which is why adsense is not the ideal money maker here.

If you're thinking to monetize it with adsense,it doesn't worth the effort and the time. But if you can offer a such service, you could easly make 10,000$ per day or more.Even as an affiliate you can get paid 40$ per application.

go to google KW tool and set it to exact match... try global monthly search X .4 X .05 X .25 X CPC and that will give you a guesstimate.

adsense wouldn't be the best way to go, CPA offers have $20-30+ per lead for credit report sites. I would definitely go for a good credit check CPA offer.

if your under the flap,,, you get less than 10% of the traffic :(

depending on how much lower, could be as low as 2%

Thanks guys. The reason I asked is that I have a free credit report site and my seo partner is working on it. He has gotten a music related keyword that is even tougher then this to top 3, so I was just trying to get a rough estimate here. Ill probably take out teh adsense as it starts to get ranked.

But dont affiliate companies scrub alot of sales from you?

Make sure you use a reputable affiliate. They shouldn't be scrubbing but you'll definitely earn more than with adsense regardless.
