The average AdSense revenue for last 6 months is $500.Is the correct valuation for the website 30-30x of monthly revenue like 30*500 ? Or are there another factors to look before determining the exact price? The website has over 6000 posts and is 3 year old website. I am not selling it but in talk with someone to acquire it. Mods can delete this if against forum rules.

$500 per month?

There are several factors, quality of posts/ backlink profile/ domain age/ monetisation potential (does the site rank for commercial intent keywords for affiliate), should all be factored in when deciding a price.

You would sell the site for 30x multiple. Its definitely undervalued at 3000 articles tho. Provided they are well written.

If you are looking to acquire, 30x is pretty good given the potential of the site. Try negotiating to 24x if the sell agrees else 30x is fine too.

Yes. And one year ago during its peak, it made max $3000 in one month.

Are you able to validate and justify the cause of the drastic loss in revenue? ~80%

Did the site tank in the SERPs? Or did something else happen?

If the above is justified, a marketplace like EF can get you +50x revenue.

What did they say? I reckon it was due to your audience being primarily Indian.

You should try FE as well.

Thanks for getting in touch regarding the sale of your business. I have had a look over your website and the details you provided in our form and I am afraid it is not something we would be able to take on as the website does not generate enough revenue.

I actually send it to FE. I will try EF now.

Regarding revenue, I was also worried that at one time site was making $3000 a month and now $500 so might be affected by some Google update. But obviously seller will not accept this.

FE has extremely high and very stringent requirements for revenue.

EF is much more lax. I an pretty sure EF will happily accept this.

The usual calculation is 12x, 30x or 36x the monthly revenue. But do your due diligence before pulling the trigger. Ask for access to google adsense and google analytics data to analyze if they're on a decline.

Very helpful information for me. Let me check with them.
Maybe you might also check up with Motion Invest. EF doesn't sell a lot of display ad content sites, most of their portfolio is Amazon Affiliate and stuff.

Motion invest mostly does content sites tho, unlike EF.

How much commission they charge?

The website revenue looks consistent. If you can spare the asking price, it is definitely going to be a good asset to invest and keep your cashflow
