I have a website that I built and ranked. I get 50-70 visitors a day looking for information on a supplement. There is plenty space for ranking improvements that could easily bring that number up over 100. All the traffic is related to one supplement that can be sold for $20-50. You can make your own product for $5 and sell it for that price or maybe amazon affiliate.

My attention is getting pulled into a awesome business opportunity so I was wondering what the value of a website like this would be if I where to sell it without being monetized?

It's hard to put a price on a site without knowing it's monthly revenue, as this is the main factor determining it's value.

I'd test it yourself first, try monetise it.

I'll put some adsense on it and see what happens that is about all I have time for right now hopefully it pulls in enough $ to be worth something.

I don't agree that a site needs income proof too to sell for big $$$. Sure it helps but a good sales pitch and selling based on potential income with traffic already also sells well.

Hey guy's So the traffic is worth shit without selling the product it looks like it will make about $20 a month on ad sense dollars and haven't gotten any commissions on amazon with the last 500 visitors. The product sells for $50-78 and there are tons of hippies selling it (alternative health niche and yoga related).

I approached a couple of businesses in the niche that have bad rankings but good product representation. Now I have a buyer that is interested in it so they can redirect my rankings to their website and they are asking how much I want for it...

Still don't even know where to start on valuation. The bid for adsense traffic in this niche is 0.75-0.99 depending on the keyword should I just assume that a months traffic is worth $1500+ and ask for that or should I go for a closer to the real valuation of $500.

I literally started learning about seo a year ago which would be why I ranked this website without clear path to monotization.

$500 sounds about right. At the low end of the market it really is "whatever someone is willing to pay for it". Usual valuation metrics that you would expect to see on $20k+ sites are not going to work on a site that small or without a stronger financial track record - hence it really is just a guess.

I go to a site and use their calculator to 'value' a site. It'll give you estimated traffic, earnings, etc. It's just a starting point, so take it with a grain of salt. The site is: worth of web and there you should find a calculator link.

n00b here so I can't insert links yet.
