    Hi:

I was getting my hopes up about being able to trim/edit etc. uploaded videos on one of my YouTube channels until I started messing with it for real today.

I have a little video of a famous rock drummer with around 72k views (not bad, not amazing), but it's on an old YouTube channel I want to close, and move everything to my main channel.

I WANTED to use the YT editor to insert a notice like "click here to see this full video on our new channel" on the 72k views video, but unless I'm missing something... I'm not sure YT will allow me to trim & edit that video, or keep the existing views, title, etc. And yes... I already know about using the annotation boxes/links, but I don't feel that is nearly as effective.

If anyone here knows the story on the YouTube online editor being able to modify & keep existing videos, I'd love to hear from you.

    cheers,

    chef

If you edit the video you'd have to reupload and lose the views unfortunately. You could put a full screen annotation a few seconds into the video that redirects to the new video.
