I am interested in methods using Web 2.0 properties for white hat sites that are safe enough to use with no risks.
I am assuming you are good to create at least one account with every Web 2.0 site and create a couple of pages with links to your site. I am also assuming if the content is good this is ok.
You then have the benefit of being able to test a darker link building method on one of the Web 2.0 sites with a greatly reduced risk on your target site. As long as this doesn't involve interlinking, crap content, heavily spun content is this likely to pass as ethical linking building for a high priority site / client.
Could you essentially use these sites as extensions of article directories for links back to your target site? Also how black hat would you have to go to risk your white hat site e.g. if you started using automation, high volumes of bookmarking etc. on one of the satellite properties.
