I was analyzing my competitors links today when I noticed that his best link out was tinyurldotcom/****. I then checked that link out to see what type of links he has pointing to it since it is pretty well the only reason he is outranking me. All garbage links 80% of the links are spammed articles and the rest are spammed scrapebox comments.

Thought everyone could benefit from knowing that tinyurldotcom has a (seomoz) Root domain authority of 99, my competitor spammed the crap out of their redirection to their homepage and their custom link has a page authority of 85.

Use it wisely my friends.

~I don't always spam~
~But when I do, its a redirection~

What diff would it make? The spam juice will flow thru the 301 onto our site and can penalize it..right?

My competitor is ranking on a major keyword with this as his top link so, apparently not.

Not really a new method, but if it works, then it's great.

But people criticising have the argument, that you don't own it and that it can easily be taken down.. Food for thought =) But sure, it'd be good if some proper testing was done.

No it will not , penalities dont pass through 301 , only good stuff passes .

Example you can set a penalised domain 301 to your competator and can pass him the penalty . obviously that will not happen otherwise you can outrank who ever you like .

Interesting stuff. Let us know how you get on. I will try and run a test on Monday and report back.

Unfortunately it were only 25k live links. Am going to further blast it though. No changes seen till now ;)

that's really clever, if it works as claimed. I see no reason why it wouldn't.

If this is actually true please tell me how I can get it taken down. Unfortunately I doubt tinyurl would take any url down unless it was breaking a law. So build away and get a high quality link fast.

I'm just saying that was the arguement. I haven't tested this myself.

I use wikis, web 2.0, blog posts, social bookmarks as tier 1 and then profiles, comments and more blog posts as tier 2.

Hmmmm Interesting. So to repeat in order to make sure I understand.

I simply shorten my link via tinyurl then do different blast to the shortened link and then the redirection from tinyurl passes through to my site?

Can't tell if your trolling or being serious...In either case yes.
