Using subdomain or sub folder?

    Which is better if you want to have a blog on your website?

    blog.xyz3451d.com
    or xyz.com23123/blog?

    well its better a subdomain then a subfolder, but nowa days g00GLe just sees the subdomain as a subfolder ( value wise, a few more points of course not not a huge game changer ! )

    there was a time when you can rank just as high with a subdomain and not rank with a subfolder but not anymore that easy,

    so for look and very little serps meaning I would also suggest blog.website.com ( if you are trying to rank) if not its prob a lil faster the other way. not much diff the way you like more I would say,

    xyz.com23123/blog.html is best, but if you are meaning for the sub folder to target an index file make it xyz.com23123/blog/index.html then use mod_rewrite to redirect to index.php. Google loves to see html because it thinks the page was handmade when in fact it can still be dynamic with .htaccess manipulation.
