yes,you can use skype for phonecall, sometimes the quality is good, sometimes bad, depend on your luck, and it's cheap.

Skype isn't bad. Make sure you are not downloading a bunch of torrents or running any other program that involves many simultaneous remote connections.

Skype is great! You can use it for phone calls. Just make sure you have a solid and fast connection to the internet. You can also pay extra to get better quality phone calls and video calls if needed. I use skype for all phone calls and can check my voice mails where ever a computer is, which is great in my case being international.

Just installed Skype on my mobile device, so I can use it where ever I get wi-fi access just as I'd use a normal phone. Calls are v cheap, great if you do international calls

Well just to update you guys. I used skype. Did quite a few calls. Not A HUGE amount but got accepted into about 6 networks.

cost me less then 2 pounds in credit. So pretty satisfied. Having a number definetly helped as they asked it for veryfication purposes and one network asked to call me back. However Havn't had any use for voicemail yet. Some networks I keep getting through to voicemail so am anticipating a few calls soon.

Magic Jack is the worst thing in the world to use. Worst call quality. Skype is way better. Also try Ooma its more expensive but good to replace home phone with.
