    ---- THREAD CLOSED 04/20/2014 ----
It was mentioned before in threads, but since a lot of people are jumping on the PPI train I thought it would be important to mention it again, visible for everybody.

Every exe that you build with RevenYou will include your name and company name, visible for everybody who downloads them.

If you don't want your name to be associated with adware, you better remove those details before you start to distribute your files.

    How to remove those details?

    - Contact the RevenYou support: http://www.revenyou.com/Contact.aspx
    - Tell them that you do not feel comfortable with having your name in the exe's & that they should change your details to something generic (or something of your choice)
    - They will update it for you, but don't forget that you have to download your exe's again as the old ones still include your real name.

I know of at least one BHW member whose real name is all over the net at the moment in association with adware/spyware infections, caused by RevenYou installations. I don't name the member as it is not relevant and non of anyone elses business, but if you don't want that happen to you, you better let them remove your details.

Your details are listed under copyright -> details in every exe
Where you now see "NDD" was my name before I requested the change.

I only work with RevenYou & Amonetize, so I can't tell what is the norm, but Amonetize does not include your personal details.

I don't see this as a big deal if you have a common american name like me, just putting my full name in google brings up 17 million results.

The only thing that would bug me is if it showed 'other' personal details such as phone #, etc

It doesn't show address or anything else right?

EDIT: Just did a search for 'My name revenyou" LOL guess that does seem a little weird that one popped up but it was from a file scanning site..so someone must of took my file and scanned it? because it definitely shows what file it was hahaha

its the only one I can find with my name being associated with revenyou so I guess it'd be the safest just changing it. Thanks for making this thread..

It only shows what you put under "Company" and your first and last name.

My name doesn't show up in the copyright. Maybe they changed this?

Yes, they updated the installer a few days ago and removed the copyright names.
