I have been trying to get high speed internet where I live but nobody will come out here. I have been dealing with AT&T since May 7th and they keep giving me install date after install date but they never come install my service.

With that being said, Can I go get a prepaid phone and a $45 card that says "Unlimited text, talk and data" and can I use that to connect my laptop to the wifi? Also, if I can, how long does the data usually last? Right now I am using a Hot Spot device that costs $10 per 2gb data but I go through that in 3 days being a web designer.

Using a mobile service will be extremely expensive. I'm guessing you are in the states so i'm unsure what ISP's there are, but call around and see if any are wiling to hookup your internet. Best of luck!

I have tried everyone. We live in a new subdivision and not one company will come out. I can get satellite but they wanted $500 to install it then $130 a month.

If they are unlimited you can use a 3rd party tethering app to get tethering for free without paying for it. The new FCC rules a few months ago make it so that tethering can't be blocked.

It depends on the phone, foxfi is pretty good but I haven't used it in a long time.

I was thinking about getting the StraightTalk $45 plan for unlimited talk, text and data. And probably a cheap phone. Nothing expensive.
