From what I understand this is fine, but I want to double check. Will I get trouble from adsense? Or any other troubles?

I'm mainly speaking of pictures of food, scenery views.

Nope, you should be fine. As long as you credit the owner / or have permission if it's copyrighted.

use pics which aren't indexed on google like pics from instagram, so google won't have a clue that those pics aren't yours, you would need to be extremely unlucky to get caught by the owner of the pics and even if that would happen, it wouldn't be google who caught you lol

You will not have any problem only if you have extremely BAD luck.

As long as you source the image. I used many pictures in my days, I just credit them all the time. If you don't want to source any images, just find them on stock image sites that offer them up for free.

Always credit the source if possible. Nobody likes it when their pictures are used without acknowledgement.

Use only creative common licensed images and give credit to them. If copyrighted then ask permission and see what they offer for you.
