Can I have multiple blogs on the same hosting account, but in different folders, yet use a unique domain that is directed to each folder? For example:

www.MySite.com/blog1 - I would have www.blog1.com directed to this folder

    www.MySite.com/blog2 - www.blog2.com would direct here

I wanted to do this so I dont have multiple hosting accounts and domains for autoblogs that may not work out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Just add the sites as add-on domains. They'll be an extra folder for the site in Public_HTML folder for each site.

Ah I got the cheap hosting plan lol and it doesnt support addon domains. Does that mean they wont allow me to make my own folders and direct to those folders?

Basically. LaceHost.com is $2 a month and offers unlimited add-on domains. Been with them for a while now without any problems.

This is HE SAY SHE SAY Answer. It depends on the content you will be having on these auto blogs WILL THEY BE RELATED or All micro niches. In my opinion i say its safe to have as many as 50 Autoblogs - stemmed from the same DOMAIN NAME. (sub -blogs) As long as the content is NOT duplicate among the 50 sub blogs. Its up to google as to how you will rank and how your blogs will be treated and looked upon.

If you blast them all out at once in my opinion you will get SANDBOXED and look suspicious to google. If you plan on Interlinking these blogs then you will surely send a RED FLAG to google.

    SOURCE (my experience with testing)

there are quite few hosts that allow multiple domains to be hosted on same hosting account, as TermsB said just add them from CP. You should change the name servers within the domain accounts if registered somewhere else.
I have few hosting with multiple domains but in terms of seo and interlinking, you should have different IPs for each site.

The having different IPs for each site is a myth in my opinion. Shared hosting has many sites sometimes 200+ on the same IP. Google is also a domain registrar so they can see all the domains that belong to one person, even through whois privacy. Couldn't hurt to try to keep them on different IPs though.

Thanks for all the responses. They will all be different niches, and I also do not want to harm the pagerank of my personal website hosted in the root directory, as that is my main website and I am basically leaching off its hosting.

I checked out LaceHost.com and it is incredibly cheap! I may move everything over there and start creating new hosting accounts for each blog since its so cheap!

    Thanks for the share

google is OK if you have 50 blogs on the same ip no penalty there, there are many people who operate close to 100 or little over all the same owner and google does not mind this. but if you are trying to get LINKBACKs with this method its a waist of time getting linkbacks from site thats are on the same domain ip and that you own yourself...it will not give you benefit with pagerank. Esp if you are trying to pass off these blogs as they "may be owned by differnet people" google checks whois and all this info to see how domains are related with ownership and etc. Its a CLOUD OF SMOKE trying to get other google. Hell at this point making the blog make money for you is the key. BY AL MEANS NECESSARY PROFIT! :D

P.S google also looks at the C class ip these domains are on in additon to examine the whois. I say it again Its a CLOUD OF SMOKE trying to get other google. Hell at this point making the blog make money for you is the key. BY AL MEANS NECESSARY PROFIT! :D

I only plan on having 7-10 on ip so I should be good right? Can I submit a sitemap for each site as if they were on seperate hosting accounts?

Also (now im changing the subject a bit here) is it ok to only have adsense? Or should I have different things going on.

not exactly sure what you mean by "only have adsense?" but in general you need content, not just adsense ads on the page. (even there are methods for parked domains)

However I believe you mean if you should have adsense only or combined with other offers / CB, CPA, EBooks whatever.

I usually focus on content, attention grabbing content to keep the visitor and than slowly but surely lead them into performing a task I want them to, like visit a ad, affl link, cpa whatever.
I do include 1 or two non intrusive adsense ads within the post/page text and cpa link on the buttom either in text or banner form, sort of call to action.

Also I have cpa and other offers on the side wigets (WP), yet I always try to be non intrusive and avoid "in your face ads". about 3- 6 125x125 banners with ads.

It is however important to learn about the behaviour of your visitors and strategicly place the ads while keeping a blanace of allowing the visitor to breathe and expressing a call to action.

As always that is my opinion and I am sure there are many schools of thought on this topic.

PS: just in case !! Do Not write "PLEASE CLICK THE GOOGLE AD" !!, you may say "click on my affl link to gain 5 inches / get out of debt / make a $$$ million (turkish lira) or whatever
    good luck,

I hear LaceHost.com is not bad [at least for what they charge].
50 blogs on the same IP is OK but that a max [that's just my opinion].
The main thing - don't interlink and link back them.
    Happy New Year to everyone!
    :)
