    Hey guys,

I'm a European citizen. I have set up an offshore company in United Arab Emirates. It works just perfect.

The bank there gave me a credit card linked to the business account.

My question is : can i use this credit card safely in Europe (or in my country) without being listed somewhere ?

I mean if i enter in a store to buy an iPhone with this card, what information will be stored in the Card Reader Device of the shop ? What information will be listed in their transaction listing ? Can local tax authorities see this "line" with my first name, last name, country of origin, etc....and make a link between me and the offshore company ?

(there is no chip on this card, it's a simple magnetic stripe credit card)

    Thanks for your help guys.

You can use it in other European countries but I would strongly encourage you to NOT use it in your own country.
Your name will be registered, even if you have a common name if they dig deep enough they will be able to find you. There have been governments who investigated like this. If you use it in a neighbouring country it should be fine since your name will not be in their citizensdatabase. (that's the short version)

Best thing to do would be to have an offshore account but set-up by a trustee (hiding your name) and putting further levels of protection on your identity. Now even the foreign authorities would know your name :)
