Using Inactive Old Domain Or Bring New One?

hi guys, i have a very good domain name and i used it back in 2009. But since I have been pretty inactive in internet world in the past few months, that site was abandoned. Now since I want to promote (SEO) that site again, do you think it's a wiser and better to use that old inactive domain or bring in brand new domain? Would it affect my SEO efforts since old domain was registered awhile ago and still have several incoming links?

I don't think any one will disagree with it "why use new domain when you got old one"

Lots of benefits... Age, authority (even inactive it got more then new one), backlinks...
