So i want to use images on my blog but im trying to be cautious which images to use. Dont wanna put some copyrighted ones up and then get sued or something. Anything tips about picking which pictures to use and what not? I think I should probably avoid those with a domain watermark, right? I heard someone say that they also check the image on tinyeye and if they see lots of results they feel better about using it. I know about wiki commons. Any other tips?

I usually take a screen caps of an image and resize it. Look for the largest image available and change the theme of it. e.g, if the image is about flowers and theres happen to be a pond next to it, focus on that.

Yea good idea. You should probably crop/size all images and slightly change the color
