ok so i have putty all set up to connect to my ssh proxy that im using, and i have firefox set to connect to the server it creates

What i want to do is use a http or socks proxy after i am connected to my ssh so i can further anon myself

any tips on how to do this ? .. i would also like to throw privoxy into the mic aswell

thanks

ssh doe snot provide HTTP, only SOCKS
privoxy can be installed on your own computer and used as entry for the putty tunnel

Open putty
go to:
connection / SSH / Tunnels
Select:Dynamic
Select a local port of your choice
Destination 127.0.0.1
Click on Add
Connect to the SSH server

Configure privoxy, your browser or whatever you wanna use to use SOCKS on 127.0.0.1 and the port you specified above (as example 10000)

hope that helps

thank you but i already have done that

my question is how to link another proxy to it so after it connects through the ssh server its routed to another proxy

i was thinking set up firefox to point to a socks or http proxy, then have proxy firewall point it to privoxy, and have privoxy point to my ssh proxy that i made with putty

install privoxy on your local PC and make it connect through your SSH socks
then point firefox at privoxy
that's the usual way

thank you but that is basically what i am doing now

i guess i wasnt clear enough, what i am asking is how to proxy chain 2 or more proxys with one being a ssh local connection to a remote server

thanks

Ok you can see your SSH connection like any socks proxy, it's just one more.

There is a free socks server, at 3proxy.ru.
Opensource and pretty easy to use and configure.

It also has the ability to chain proxies as far as I remember and can see from the website.

Maybe it's worth a test ?

There's a free software out called ProxyChains. I believe that is whart you're trying to do, is chain together multiple proxies. This can be done. Typically, depending on the network layer at which your proxy sits, chaining together proxies is as easy as selecting a proxy within your application, and using a VPN, for instance.
