Using GSC to index my pages

When I make a blog post, I submit its URL to GSC for faster indexing. It takes up to 24hrs for google to index it.

However, I've somewhere read that this practice is not very good, just couldn't find an answer WHY.

Are there any issues with this indexing method?

Do it for a handful of pages but don't try do hundreds of pages.

I never heard of this being bad. Can you post a link of where you read that??

Been sumbitted manually on GSC everytime I post, always got indexed. Sometimes faster than other times

Why? Can it hurt the whole page?
