    Hello bhw,

This is about my offline job. I'm working in statistics department in a health-care institution and I have a small problem with creating monthly reports of all patients and services.

The thing is, I have 31 med. doctors that are located in external buildings and they can't access the server (don't know why, IT support doesn't care) so they can enter their daily reports in excel sheets, that I would later use to create monthly report.

I was thinking to create 1 google account and give the username and password to all of them (31), so they can use google sheets.

Do you think that google would allow to login on 1 account from 31 different computers?

OK. But I highly doubt they all got gmail accs.

If I create gmail accs for them from same IP using their phone numbers, would that be a problem with google? It shouldn't be, right? They won't be used for spamming or something like that...

Check thoroughly with your IT and risk department before doing this. A lot of companies, especially business in the healthcare industry (like yours) or the finance industry (like mine) do not like having information available externally, no matter how many layers of shit it's behind.

If your company doesn't allow the server to be accessed from other buildings, that is a good sign security is tighter than you may think. I'd suggest skipping past the IT Support team not caring and find someone who does and get their opinion. In writing.

I know our company does serious risk profiling and vetting before we allow external resources to contain our data. Anything else is a major problem. I'm sure the same goes for patient data and information.

He's from Bosnia. There, it's a sign IT doesn't have a router. Or prefers having a beer somewhere instead of working.

create a sheet and then share it with everyone!
    how simple is that!
you can also lock the cells which you don't want anyone to change!
