    Hi there,

I would like to know if it is a good idea to use expired domains (typically with english content on it) to rank spanish websites or other language websites?

The idea is to set up a site (with the same topic as the old one) but in a different language to rank other sites. Will Google detect it as unnatural?

The reason I have to do these is because there is way much more expired domains with english content that spanish ones, in my case.

What do you think on that?

    Thanks

No idea! My guess is, you won't get penalized unless you go on doing it aggressively.

Would it be better to set up a blog in english, write articles in english and place the anchor text in spanish/your language?

Yo tambien estoy interesado en lo mismo, creo que es mejor comprar dominios nuevo y hacerle enlaces. SI te interesa un joint venture tirame por privado.

First, you should evaluate whether this domain was not affected negatively by the action of black hat. Study which keywords generate more relevance. Try using areas offering content related to their interests. I had a good experience with this action.

Most seo companies in Japan use English aged domains because Japanese ones are hard to get and expensive (and .jp domain costs more than $30 itself). So far there seems to be no issue. I use English/French/Spanish aged domains myself all the time for japanese sites w/o problems. Even my Japanese keywords rank right after I flip sites into Japanese. Not even in the same niche. (Only ones most SEOs avoid are Chinese aged domains because they are usually spammed to death.)

So - I don't think there are any issues either you use it for your PBN or as your money site.
But it is only my answer to the questions if it could get penalized(no) or if it works(yes). The site might be stronger if the aged domain was used in the same language and same niche etc.

Thanks for your reply terry75. So as I see, there should not be any inconvenience to do what I propose.

What impressed me is the fact that you are using expired domains in another different niche comparing to the previous niche. Is this working right?
Reading on Hayden Miyamoto's blog I have realized that this is not a good practice and that Google can detect them easier.

However, reading on Alex Becker's blog, he made some examples with expired domains which are unrelated with the previous thematic.

    What should I do?

    Thanks

    Diversity is key.

Transforming a site's niche & language DOES work. However, you don't want to make that 100% of your backlinking strategy. You need to diversify, no matter if you're white or black hat.

For best results, keep the language of the pbn and money site the same and don't change the pbn language from what it used to be

More opinions about this? It is really difficult to find expired domains which had content different from english language.

I agree with this guy. I have ranked some sites at Japan with English domain links. The domain names themselves don't count much, it's content, onpage optimization, hosting that count. Try to put that specific language on then point links to your landing page

Im actually working on something similar now and I had some of the same questions you had.

One thing perhaps you could have overlooked: Create the new site in English and spanish, this way google cant penalise you for changing the language.

Una pregunta, conoces algunos sitios de web donde yo podria buscar los dominios borrados con el extensión de .es - Yo lo buscé por google, pero no he tenido mucho suerte.

It is kind of awkward to set up a domain in both languages apart from the extra work it takes.

Spanish: si quieres dominios .es, puedes probar en el directorio de dominios.es e ir scrapeando los PDFs que tienen de dominios registrados.
