    Hello,

    I've a problem these days.

    I'm going to promote some affiliate links.

    The problem is that as a method of giving commission the affiliate needs to see my domain name as a referral.

    I could do these by using a landing, and then the user visitor must click on a link on that page to go on the affiliate program. The conversion would be much much lower than doing a direct linking.

    The fact is that promoting this through Adw0rds or Yah00 (it is not forbidden by the affiliate program) is going to put G00gle or Yah00.com as referrer.

    I tried to do an .htaccess redirect but this is not working.
    G00gle --> mydomain .com/affiliatelink.html (.htaccess) --> Affiliate page = showing G00gle as referrer.

    I need to do G00gle --> mydomain .com/affiliatelink.html --> Affiliate page = showing mydomain .com as referrer.

    Thanks for the help.

    i think doing the redirect by php or js would work.
    the reason htaccess does not work ist because the visitor never realy access your server, apache sends him a new location was devined in the htaccess file.

    NEEDS to be a JS redirect.
    PHP redirects pass through the referer--I.E. it would still show yahoo or google as the referring page.

    Javascript redirects will work in all major browsers, showing the page they came from. (In the case of forced form submits--which are the method I would recommend.) You can leave a link visible for the vast minority with javascript disabled or a really ghetto browser.
