    Hello BHWers!

I've been considering using Amazon Cloudfront for the sole purpose of improving my SEO as my competitor is using AWS.

Do you think this will help my rankings?

My rankings are good but are not consistent. I think this is natural as Google always changes. My site consistently moves around the top three spots. But the same goes for my competitor. (e.g. Sometimes I'm at number one, while comp. is at number two; Other days I'm number two, and comp is at number one. )

Did my analysis on my comp and yes they are on cloudfront.

    Thanks,
    Cory

    Thanks guys.

Yes for some reason, without it, my site is ranking number one but I'm expecting it to dance around the top three spots. I guess this just normal.

    Again thanks.

I used Cloud Front before on one of my sites and it was actually slower. Not saying this will always be the case, but for whatever reason it slowed me down.

Thanks for dropping in the experience. But curious if a setting, a plugin, or something on the site caused one of your sites to slow down.

Cloudfront is known mainly for its speed so quite curious if something mentioned above could be the cause.

Bro, Cloudfront does not affect your rankings at all!!!
I can outrank your cloudfront hosted website by
using any cheap and fast server!
It lies on your SEO skills, not server infrastructure!!

It's all about speed. If your site is faster due to using cloudfront (or any other CDN) then you might get a boost - or you might not. You'd have to test it.

It is a good idea though if you serve a lot of static content as you'll save server resources and avoid slowdowns in the future which could negatively impact your site as it grows in popularity
