Hello
I sell smm services (not smm panel, but a e-commerce site with handmade code) since years, and since a year I lost all my seo rank, I went from some services from page 1 to page 8, I don't why
So I'm currently working on my products page and I use chatgpt to generate some seo friendly text

What do you think about this? Does google can see that it's AI content generated?
I read every text before adding them on my pages and sometime remove or edit some sentences

Thanks

Google doesn’t penalize content just because it’s AI-generated. What matters is quality, originality, and usefulness for users. If you edit, refine, and make sure the text matches your brand and provides value, it’s totally fine. Focus also on backlinks, site speed, and overall SEO strategy - not only on product page text

Does internal backlinks (redirect keywords on other products page) is good or it's useless?

Google can detect patterns in AI content, but careful editing and adding unique value keeps it safe.

It’s good that you review and edit your text before posting. Google looks for helpful and original content, not just how it’s written. Mixing AI text with your own style and updates should be fine.

Thanks
There is a better AI for this ? Cause I use chatgpt free but maybe there is better AI to generate SEO
And what can explain a seo drop on all my products for like 7 pages?

Using ChatGPT for product page content is fine, but you need to understand how Google looks at it. Google doesn’t “detect AI” in the sense of banning all AI text, it mainly cares about quality, originality, and value. If the AI text is generic or repetitive, it won’t help you, and in some cases it can hurt rankings because it doesn’t bring anything new.

What works in 2025 is using AI as a drafting tool: let ChatGPT generate structure, ideas, and raw text, but then edit it heavily with your own insights, keywords, examples, and internal links. This way it becomes unique, relevant, and much harder for Google to flag as low quality.

I’d also suggest running the final text through tools or even just manual keyword research, to make sure your content matches what people are actually searching for.

Everyone is right about using AI—as long as you edit it for quality, you're fine.

However, your real problem is the 7-page ranking drop. Rewriting product descriptions will not fix this. A drop that big is a site-wide issue. Stop focusing on content and investigate these urgent problems first:

  • Check GSC for a Manual Action.
  • Audit for toxic backlinks.
  • See if a Google Core Update hit you.
  • Look for major technical errors (crawl issues, noindex tags).
Find the real cause of the collapse before you try to fix the content.

Is this true? Is there somewhere i can read about it...
