Hi SEO experts! I would like to verify something - I have been told that I should create a page containing my main keyword, and then have related keywords written in posts under the page.

Instead of doing that I use "category" instead... all my related posts belong to that "category" instead of a page. Does that work too?

Sorry if I sound foolish, I'm a newbie!

    cheers,
    Julian

So your category is basically your keyword?

You can do the method you was told but using categories is fine.

Thanks all for your feedback! appreciate it. I currently have a some keywords ranked under each of the catgeories, but previously i didn't use a keyword rich category so i just changed it yesterday hope that would make my categories ranked too

Can rank categories and make links pointing to each category same as post?

    Do they rank fine?
