I want to get the maximum amount of livelinks / active articles that I can. So here is what I am thinking about trying for categories, since we all know how much of a stumbling stone that categories can be:

I am going to compile one big list out of the top/main categories of many different article directory sites. Then I'm gonna put them all into a text doc, in proper AMR format (IE: like this: business, health, health & fitness, family, automotive) (except it is going to be a WAY longer list than that.

Then for each new article, I will use like 5-10 of what I think are the most relevant categories, and then put them at the front of the list, and leave the gazillion other category choices in the list too.

This way, in theory, if the article directory doesn't have any RELEVANT options, surely it will find SOMETHING to use within my big list of categories, am I right?

Anyone else use this approach? It would be near impossible to get a category mismatch when doing this, wouldn't it?

Cool. What happens when it really can't find a category though? Will it choke when it has to try like 50+ categories in a row, with nothing found? :)

Ok so do you load the categories in the create article module or what? I was trying to figure this out so any help would really be appreciated...

Hi there. In this case, we would just be entering the categories into the "comma delimited categories" field WITHIN the article creation section.

I am going to just save all the categories I come up with, into a text file, then just copy/paste them into the "categories" field for each new article that I do in AMR.

After I paste the big list in, I will then put 5 or so categories that I think are very relevant to my article, at the FRONT of the list (which means all the way to the left).

The reason for this is simple: AMR will go through your category list starting from the LEFT, and will then work its way through all listed categories, one after the other. So if you put your relevant categories FIRST, you will have a good chance of your article landing in the RIGHT category. But if for some stupid reason the article directory doesn't have any relevant categories, you will still have a GREAT chance of AMR finding a category for your article, since you will have a big list of categories that it will try :)

Sure, you may get an article declined now and then, if it lands in a totally non relevant category, but since most of the article directories are auto approve, this shouldn't be much of an issue :)

And I figure it is better to have a SLIGHT chance of the article being declined, VS it never even having a CHANCE to get into the article directory, because of lack of categories.

Just paste the list of categories into the categories field for each article that you create. This is when you need to enter in the categories, not when you actually submit (you have to create an article before you can even submit).

    Now does it make sense?
