Hello, I have a tumblr NSFW blog and I want to make a new site related to it.
I have recently bought a year's hosting with Godaddy which comes with a free domain. It has cost £38 for the year, which wasn't originally what I planned to spend, but don't know if I could get it cheaper. I checked out Hostgator but it seemed that would work out more expensive.

Anyway what I am now thinking is, should I just have bought a cheap domain name and point it to the tumblr blog...the only thing I was concerned of is I want to put ads on it. I know adult blogs have been taken down from tumblr for people putting things like plugrush on there. Would it still be the same if I owned the domain? Would that make any difference, or is it still likely they would take down the blog? At the moment I am making most of the images click through links to imagetwist, and don't have any ads on it. But I want to make use of plugrush etc.

IMO even if you own the domain and it violates their rules, it makes no difference and they would ban it still.

Ah ok, I will probably just keep the hosting on Godaddy for now then. Keep thinking I could have got it cheaper somewhere else. I have set up a Wordpress for it anyway. I want to keep the tumblr blog so I can link to my website.
    Cheers.
